Software I use on the desktop

I try to keep a fairly minimal desktop computer as I have a very old machine with minimal RAM and storage. Doing so enables a more reliable and fast machine, without having to also otherwise scrap perfectly usable components.

Most Used

• OS: Arch Linux, v6.7.2 currently
• Window Manager: DWM
• Shell: BASH
• Terminal: Alacritty, with Kanagawa theme
• Web Browser: Librefox
• Email Client: Aerc, terminal based client
• IDE: LunarVIM, a minimal configuration for Python, HTML, CSS and HTMX development
• File Manager: Ranger, terminal based client

Less Used

• Photo Editing: GNUGimp
• Scanning: VueScan
• Office: LibreOffice
