Oil painting

Could I make an income from this?

I am really liking the process and joy of painting. Soon enough I need to make an income. I know that painting alone, in the short to medium term anyway, will not be sustainable. There are all the hurdles of visibility, marketing, exhibitions or other display, materials…. to consider.

However, I see others making money from their art, which I consider as good in terms of ability as my own efforts. So the prospect of selling is not so far fetched.
